The first rumors are coming in. I'll post as I can. Everything to be taken with a grain of salt - I'll try to be as accurate as possible but rumor-mongering may occur.
3 PM - rumbles of Minnesota to Texas Bowl; Purdue to Heart of Dallas. Cotton Bowl doesn't want Baylor; they want Texas - no real surprise there. LSU would be their probable opponent. In the meantime, some folks projecting that Northern Illinois will grab an automatic bid to the BCS, which would lock out Oklahoma.
3:10 PM - Above B1G bids confirmed; Michigan State to Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl (OK, fine, I'm breaking down on that bowl. Still a stupid name). All of this possible because of the certainty that the B1G will not get two BCS teams. Expect delays of the Big 12 bids because of the uncertainty regarding NIU and Oklahoma.
3:21 PM - Ouch.
3:38 PM - Rumors swirling that NIU has, in fact, broken into the top 16 and will face FSU in the Orange Bowl.
4:02 PM - Big 12 Conference to announce bowl berths at 7:45 PM CST, per Twitter.
4:08 PM - All BCS matchups confirmed per SI. Bama-ND for the national championship; Stanford-Wisconsin in the Rose; KSU-Oregon in the Fiesta; Florida-Louisville in the Sugar; FSU-NIU in the Orange. Big 12 is screwed hard for the second straight year and the fans get a slate of sub-par BCS matchups. Good times.
4:50 PM - Rumors now have Texas Tech in the Texas Bowl to face Minnesota; Baylor to Holiday Bowl.
5:01 PM - Some TCU rumors hitting the net now that they will be playing Michigan State in the BWW Bowl.
5:06 PM - Latest full picture: KSU = Fiesta, OU = Cotton, UT = Alamo, TCU = BWW, Baylor = Holiday, Texas Tech = Texas, WVU = Pinstripe, leaving OSU and ISU looking at Heart of Dallas or a slot from another conference which did not fill. Oh, snap! OSU is getting burned if this is true. Not only that, but Tennessee supposedly interviewing Mike Gundy. Hard to believe that this is anything more than a ploy to squeeze more money out of T. Boone, but who knows.
5:46 PM - Baylor confirmed to Holiday Bowl, to play UCLA. OU to Cotton Bowl, to play A&M.
6:21 PM - Oklahoma State confirmed to the Heart of Dallas Bowl; Iowa State goes to the Liberty Bowl.
7:49 PM - Most officialest list.
