Alamo Bowl Photos

After enjoying a Big 12 bowl victory in San Diego, it was time to head back to San Antonio to see another Big 12-PAC-12 matchup in the Alamo Bowl.  #23 Texas took on #13 Oregon State in the Alamodome.  The Longhorns never led until a David Ash pass late in the 4th quarter gave them the lead and the victory.  Below are some photos for your viewing pleasure.

Holiday Bowl Photos

After a month's layoff, it was good to have some Big 12 football to watch.  Five of the 9 Big 12 bowl teams have played, and the conference bowl record is currently 3-2, with both losses coming from Big 12 newcomers WVU and TCU.  The Mountaineers lost the Pinstripe Bowl to Syracuse 38-14, and the Horned Frogs lost the BWW Bowl to Michigan State 17-16.  I saw neither of those games and caught only part of Texas Tech's 34-31 victory over Minnesota in the Texas Bowl, since I've had a busy few days of travel between California and Texas to see the Holiday and Alamo Bowls in person.  Below, for your viewing pleasure, are some photos from the Holiday Bowl, where Baylor dominated #17 UCLA 49-26* in San Diego.

*UCLA was given a touchdown on the final play of the game despite the receiver being clearly down two yards short of the goal-line.  As you will see, though, there were almost no Bruin fans left in the stadium by that time.
